It is impossible to remain indifferent to them, they are unique places that exist along the course of the River Alva, one of the purest and most crystalline rivers in Portugal.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Along its entire course, the river Alva is distinguished by the various dams, the stunning surrounding nature and the huge percentage of natural schist rocks in these areas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2830 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/villamontes.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/coja.jpg\" alt=\"Vila de Coja\" width=\"322\" height=\"205\"><\/p>\n<p>You can visit several of these river beaches, but some of them stand out for several reasons: in Pomares, you can enjoy the award-winning beach with the \u201cAccessible Beach and considered \u201cBeach for All\u201d flag, for the 12th time; the river beach of Cascalheira, holder of the \u201cBlue Flag\u201d, for the 4th consecutive year; at the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/villamontes.pt\/piodao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pi\u00f3d\u00e3o<\/a><\/span><\/span>, there is also a river beach \u201cBandeira Azul\u201d, for four years, and still holds the \u201cAccessible Beach, Beach for All\u201d flag; in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/villamontes.pt\/coja\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Coja<\/a><\/span><\/span>, you can enjoy the river beach of Caneiro de Coja, also distinguished with the symbol of quality, \u201cBlue Flag\u201d and \u201cAccessible Beach Flag\u201d; the river beach of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/villamontes.pt\/xisto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Benfeita<\/a><\/span><\/span>, was also distinguished with the \u201cAccessible Beach, Beach for All\u201d flag.<\/p>\n<p>The river beach of Coja is a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive from Villa Mont\u00eas Guesthouse. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the award-winning river beaches, there are others that you will definitely want to visit, such as the River Beaches of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;
